Working environment

Gamma Holding offers its employees excellent primary and secondary working conditions as well as a challenging, versatile and international working environment. In 42 countries, approximately 6,500 employees are active in the fields of transport and conveyor belts, filtration products, sailcloth, mattress ticking and African fashion fabrics.

The key values can be described by the following words: driven, cooperative and reliable. Furthermore, management development, training, safety and pensions are important factors within Gamma Holding's human resources policy.

Key values

Driven

People are the key to Gamma Holding's success. Entrepreneurship, innovation, a customer- and solution-oriented approach and a well-developed sense of responsibility are of paramount importance, ensuring a healthy profitability and long-term growth.

Cooperative

Gamma Holding pursues long-lasting and mutually beneficial relations with customers, suppliers, partners and the social environment in which it operates. The cooperation and solidarity between the companies that are part of the group generates a significant amount of added value.

Reliable

Reliability and integrity are at the basis of all business transactions. Gamma Holding values a professional attitude of all its employees and its products and services have to meet high requirements in the field of quality and durability.

Management development

In order to give professional support and guidance to its managers’ personal development, and to ensure that employees see and get opportunities to grow, Gamma Holding has applied a management development system since 2008. The specific deployment of this system takes place at business unit level, ensuring employees are better placed to react quickly to possible development opportunities within the various business units.

Training

Training is an important tool within the field of human resources. Employees have to be able to apply their specialist knowledge to respond increasingly rapidly to customer requirements. Furthermore, it is essential to be innovative and develop new products. In view of the diversity of products within the group, training at Gamma Holding is often organised locally.

Safety

The safety of the personnel working at the businesses of Gamma Holding is also important. It is essential not only to prevent major incidents, but also to avoid less serious accidents within the company. Safety risks are therefore systematically identified in all the business units with the help of the Safety Compliance Officers. Most sites, for example, have a health & safety policy with specific targets and action plans. In order to ensure safety risks are identified and addressed, the employees themselves are involved in the activities in this field.

Pensions

Pension provisions are also an important element of the human resource policy. Most of the Gamma Holding business units have a pension plan for their employees. In the Netherlands, since 2008, the pension benefits of non-active participants are administered by the insurer Delta Lloyd and those of the active members by the pension fund for the fashion, interior fittings, carpet and textile industry (Bpf MITT). This is a (conditionally) index-linked average-pay plan.
