Gamma Holding sells Hatema Contract BV
Gamma Holding sells its subsidiary Hatéma Contract B.V. based in Sittard (The Netherlands), which is engaged in the manufacture and sale of carpets for the project market, to Othetaler Verwaltungs-GmbH (Anker Teppichboden).
Some 45 people work at Hatéma Contract. Turnover in 2000 amounted to approximately
EUR 11 million. From its base in Sittard, Hatéma Contract will, as a legally and economically independant company, continue to operate in the contract market as before - with the same customers and the same company policy.
This transaction takes place in the context of the divestment of the Interior-Decoration Products sector previously announced by Gamma Holding. In anticipation of this divestment, this sector was already deconsolidated in the 1999 annual accounts.
After the completion of the above-mentioned divestment, only the companies Dawes and E & S Home of Color are still part of the Interior-Decoration Products sector. It is expected that these companies will be divested shortly.
