Gamma Holding to sell Parabeam

Gamma Holding is to sell the Helmond-based company Parabeam, which is engaged in the development, manufacture and distribution of three-dimensional glass-fibre woven products for the composites market, to ZCL Composites Inc. ZCL, an important client of Parabeam, uses the patented wovens for e.g. the manufacture of double-wall fuel storage tanks.

ZCL Composites Inc., based in Edmonton, Canada, is the largest Canadian manufacturer of glass-fibre-reinforced underground oil tanks. ZCL tanks are sold under the trade name "Preserver" as complete fuel storage systems with an environmental guarantee of CAD 2 million. ZCL Composites Inc. is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Parabeam did not meet Gamma Holding's strategic targets. 9 people work at Parabeam. Turnover in 2001 amounted to approximately EUR 2 million. The sale will have virtually no effect on Gamma Holding's operating result in 2002.
